Modenese Gastone was founded over 200 years ago, in 1818.

In the early 1800s, the Modenese family was craftsmen of classic wooden furniture in the Veneto region of Italy, famous for its traditional wooden furniture.
Together with other craftsmen, they made carriages, trailers, farm equipment, and other items that were needed in the town.

As time passed, the company changed its focus from large outdoor equipment to indoor furniture,
and officially established the company in 1818.

Modenese Gastone quickly adapted to the times and needs and grew.
After World War II, the company expanded its market to the world, and became especially popular in Germany.

In the late 1960s, Mr. Gastone took over the management of the company,
and renamed the workshop “Modenese Gastone”, successfully expanding the business even further.

The traditions and techniques of furniture craftsmen have been passed down for eight generations.

Modenese Gastone, which was developed by Mr. Gastone, known as the “Emperor of Furniture”, has become a brand that represents Italian luxury furniture.
With their outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail, they continue to create gorgeous Baroque-style furniture.

Currently, they are not limited to manufacturing furniture, but also design buildings and entire spaces and make custom interiors, and own showrooms around the world, including Miami, Dubai, and London.

In addition, because they specialize in high-end and luxurious design, they have worked on a wide range of designs around the world, from the design of the palace of the King of Saudi Arabia to the design of high-end restaurants in Morocco.

With high-end Italian-made furniture, which is recognized worldwide for its design and functionality,
your home or office will become a more high-quality space.

Gastone Modenese

Mr. Gastone is the seventh generation founder of Modenese Gastone.

His starting point as a furniture craftsman was a fuel tank from an American aircraft that he and his father found.

In 1950, after the Second World War, Gastone and his father found a fuel tank from an American aircraft in the forest near Treviso. The two brought it home and succeeded in modifying it.

After painting the fuselage and making wooden wings, he named the completed airplane “MG5”,
after himself.

This model of the plane is currently displayed at the entrance to the workshop in Casale di Scodosia,
showing the passion of Modenese Gastone for manufacturing.

Mr. Gastone turned 97 in January 2021, but unfortunately passed away in October of the same year.
His son, Renzo Modenese, is currently active as the eighth generation.

2. The soul of a woodworker, craftsmanship

The wisdom and skills that have been passed down for two centuries are the brand identity of Modenese Gastone.

Carving, painting, marquetry, gold leaf and paint decorations are done by hand using traditional techniques by skilled carpenters. Modenese Gastone’s furniture, which boasts 100% Made in Italy, is also of high quality even in its manufacturing method.

Modenese Gastone manufactures Baroque-style furniture using precise techniques and high-quality materials, and delivers unique and luxurious interiors that are timeless all over the world, from design to manufacturing.

3. Modenese’s Classic Interior

What exactly is the “Baroque style” furniture that Modenese is proud of?

We will introduce some examples of Modenese Gastone’s products that match the characteristics of the style.
Which design do you prefer?

Renaissance style

Born in Florence, Italy in the 15th century.

This style rejected the concept of the Middle Ages and was inspired by ancient cultures such as Greece and Rome. It gradually spread from Italy to Europe. It favored furniture that matched the interior architecture, and was characterized by elegant, not too luxurious wooden furniture.

Baroque style

A style born in the late Renaissance, characterized by lavish decoration and exuberance.

Gold, marble, decorative motifs, sculptures, etc. were used abundantly. Heavy furniture was popular to decorate large palaces and halls. Very gorgeous!

Rococo style

In France, it became known as the Louis XV style.</p >

In Italy, alongside the Baroque style, Venetian Rococo became dominant.

Furniture is no longer an independent style, but an important element that constitutes the entire space. As a result, it is characterised by soft shapes that emphasise harmony and understated decoration.
