About the product

Venini is one of the oldest Venetian glass makers in Italy. Founded on the famous island of Murano in 1921, for more than 100 years, the company has collaborated with a variety of artists and architects, combining traditional hand-blown glass techniques with modern design. All original works are handmade. As a result, each finish is slightly different. Benigni's items have been highly acclaimed internationally, including collections and exhibitions at museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Murrine romane means “Roman style murrine”. “Mulline” is a technique and work in which pieces of glass with various colors and patterns are joined together like a mosaic and shaped in the same way as glassblowing. It was named `Roman` because it uses the red, green, and yellow tones of the frescoes that once decorated the mansions and palaces of ancient Rome. The unique color arrangement creates a unique effect that evokes a world where reality becomes a dream. The design was by Carlo Scarpa, an Italian architect representing the 20th century. Delicate and elegant, vases and bowls from the past to the present are truly unique works of art. *This product is handmade by craftsmen on Murano Island, Venice, so each item is unique. Please note that there may be differences in color, pattern, and shape from the product images.
