Venini is a long-established manufacturer of beautiful traditional craft Venetian glasses that Italy is proud of. It was founded in 1921 on the island of Murano in the Venetian lagoon. For more than 100 years, we have collaborated with a variety of artists and architects, combining traditional hand-blown glass techniques with modern design. All original pieces are handmade, so the finish may vary slightly. Benigni's items have been highly acclaimed internationally and have been exhibited at museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. This large vase was designed by Timo Sarpaneva, a famous Finnish designer. Kukinto means “inflorescence” in Finnish. The hand-blown glass depicts wild flowers gently swaying in the breeze. It is a masterpiece that sparkles when it catches the light. It is produced using a technique called `Fasce` (band-shaped pattern), in which a band of colored glass is wrapped around a transparent body and covered with a thin crystal film. *This product is handmade by craftsmen on Murano Island, Venice, so each item is unique.
