Venini is one of the oldest Venetian glass makers in Italy. Since our founding on Murano Island in the Bay of Venice in 1921, over 100 years ago, we have collaborated with artists and architects from around the world, combining traditional hand-blown glass techniques with modern design. Benigni's items have been highly acclaimed internationally, including collections and exhibitions at museums around the world, including the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. All original works are handmade by craftsmen. As a result, each finish is slightly different. This is a blown glass vase made using the enchanting “Sommerso” technique. This technique, which means “submerging in water,” creates layers of contrasting colors by enclosing silver or gold leaf in glass. These vases come in 3 colors and 2 types, paying homage to Murano, Venice, and Milan. Both are limited editions of 19 items each released in 2016. Red: Murano Island, Blue: Venice, Green: Milan
