Let’s dig into how to drink espresso.
Incorporating part of the smart day of Italian businessmen,
Would you like to lead a more efficient business life?
Simply put, espresso is coffee that has been extracted with concentrated ingredients.
Fill a filter with plenty of dark roasted coffee beans and filter hot water under pressure.
It is also called demitasse coffee.
As I wrote in another article, Italian businessmen generally drink in a short amount of time and then call it a day.
This coffee takes advantage of the fact that it is originally a very strong coffee, so you can enjoy it with just two sips.
However, Italian businessmen go out of their way to visit specialized bars (cafes) just for that moment.
It doesn’t actually mean that you don’t add sugar.
People who want to enjoy the direct flavor of coffee drink it as is, but people who add sugar do.
However, as soon as it is served, I immediately add sugar and drink it quickly.
Even if they only stay for a short time, it seems like they like to enjoy the place between lunch and evening without wasting much time.
It is very characteristic that he focuses on not only his own movements but also his coffee to be sharp without being lazy.
The demitasse cup, which can be said to be the origin of espresso, was originally created in Rome in the 18th century due to a coffee bean shortage.
This was an attempt to make ends meet by reducing the amount of coffee and lowering the price, but this was very popular with the citizens of the time.
The way of drinking it has spread from there.
The feature is that it is not a “slow extraction method that does not apply pressure” such as general drip coffee or siphon coffee.
Espresso is made using a unique high-pressure extraction method that brings out the rich flavor that cannot be produced by other methods.
This method was established around the turn of the 19th century, and it became a standard throughout Italy.
As mentioned above, it is espresso that can be made with sugar.
However, there is a difference in how you drink it after adding sugar, so I will touch on the main points.
Please do not melt it all at once.
Gently stir 2 or 3 times and that’s it.
Please enjoy it in that state.
When you finish drinking, there will be some sugar left at the bottom, which you scoop up with a spoon and take into your mouth.
The last sip is the perfect match between the strong espresso aroma and the sweetness of the sugar.
Some people add milk without scooping and enjoy the drink again.
Even though you don’t have much time to enjoy espresso, there are many ways to enjoy it.
I think you will enjoy not only the taste but also the moment.
I think this stylish and smart way of having fun is unique to Italian businessmen.
You can drink espresso in Japan too.
How about going for an espresso after reading this article?
